Know the Warning Signs and Risk Factors

Our hearts are with the family and friends of Kate Spade and Anthony Bordain, and the family and friends of those who are worried about someone at risk. Just as it’s important to be familiar with the warning signs of a stroke or heart attack, it’s important to know the warning signs and risk factors for suicide to be able to better support someone who may be at risk.

For anyone struggling with thoughts of suicide, you can talk to someone who cares, 24/7, at:

  • North Bay Suicide Prevention Hotline: 855.587.6373
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 800.273.8255
  • Crisis Text Line: Text NAMI to 741741
  • Sonoma County Crisis Stabilization Unit: 707-576-8181

For family and friends worried about someone who may be at risk, you don’t need to feel alone. Find resources and support at NAMI Sonoma County (weekdays 9:00am to 7:00pm):
