Mark Beiting, President
Retired from his role as a regional human resource executive for Sutter Health., Mark has been a resident of Sonoma County since 1999 and has a family member living with mental illness. He holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston and a MS in Applied Psychology from Montana State University. (Term #3)
Leah Taylor, Vice President / Membership & Volunteers
As Administrative Services Manager for the Kaiser Permanente Marin-Sonoma Service Area, Leah is experienced in both employee and community relations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sonoma State University and has had a passion for mental health education since losing family members to mental illness and suicide. (Term #1)
David Hall, Secretary
A human resources leader with experience in employee development, David leads executive succession planning and leadership development for Kaiser Permanente Health Plan Operations. David earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Davis and was introduced to NAMI when a family member was diagnosed with mental illness. (Term #1)
Ron Stever, Treasurer
A business financial controller now retired, Ron has served NAMI Sonoma County as board president, secretary and treasurer. He continues to contribute as Treasurer, as well as his knowledge of our organization’s history. Ron holds master’s degrees in Business Administration and Divinity. He is a lay leader and teacher at Sebastopol United Methodist Church and a trained NAMI Family-to-Family teacher. (Ex officio)
Christina (Chris) Sanford, MSN, RN, Director
Clinical Adult Services Director at Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Hospital, Chris holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of New York’s Regents College. Her passion for mental health stems from her experience with family members affected by mental illness. (Term #1)
Irenne (Reenie) Magoulas, LCSW, Director
Reenie holds a Master of Social Work from Smith College in Massachusetts and is on staff at Memorial Hospital. She is a member of the hospital’s Care Network, helping patients to plan for post-discharge care needs. Given experience as a former crisis psychiatric social worker, she is often called upon to assist staff caring for patients with mental health conditions and/or substance misuse conditions. (Term #1)
Lt. John Cregan, Director
A Lieutenant with the Santa Rosa Police Department, John currently manages the department’s Investigation Bureau. John has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and will complete a Master of Law Enforcement & Public Safety Leadership in December 2018.  He has a strong desire to increase collaboration between law enforcement and NAMI and to better educate local officers on NAMI resources.  (Term #1)
Jonathan (Jon) Smith, Director
A producer for Novato-based Visual Concepts, Jon completed his Master’s in Psychology from Goddard College and worked as a as a crisis-bed residential worker in Vermont. During an internship for his master’s program at NAMI Sonoma County, he gained firsthand knowledge of NAMI’s programs and an interest in building community awareness of the ways in which NAMI serves our communities. (Term #1)
